| Wow...time really flies...it seems like only yesterday that I felt like I had so much time to enjoy summer and here it's almost August and I feel like I've done nothing...GRE studying is a big pain, so much vocab that just gets jumbled up in my mind in which a couple days later I can't remember any definitions...research finally feels productive but I look back and see that I haven't accomplished much and it's not that I've been lazy but I guess it's because I don't know what I'm looking for and I don't know what to expect. So it seems like one success comes after dozens of failed attempts...in other news, our tv's arrived today...must say it is sweet and amazing!!! | | |
| Fun times this weekend! Thanks for hosting us all Mas! The beach was great except for spots on my back that got burned due to my short arm reach with the sunscreen =P. Water was freezing but the waves were great...especially the one that was taller than haixian. Food during the weekend was equally amazing. We had a barbeque after the beach and then the next day we went to Minado's all you can eat sushi buffet, expensive but exhilarating. Next came fireworks at an amusement park/carnival and a ton of skeeball...all for a shot glass prize =P. I actually figured out the trick to the game and consistently scored over 270 with a best of 380. Afterward we played mario party and crack the case...highlight of that night was when Mas' friend Ed played a prank on Mas by placing a jalapeno pringles chip into the sour cream can. Mas looked at it for a moment and then ate it...then came the reaction...Ed started laughing his head off and Mas just gave him the finger...on our way back we stopped at some fireworks store in PA and purchased some firecrackers where we lit them to celebrate the 4th...charred the parking lot, scared some people, and deafened our ears a bit =P...as I said before fun times =) | | |
| who knew entering scavenger hunts could be so rewarding...? So first it was a free cell phone and a toaster/microwave combo as a prize for a taking a few pictures...and we finally got rid of those oversized prizes that were clogging 75% of our hallway for that past couple months not too long ago. Now we get 23" LCD TVs with built in DVD players. Where am I gonna put this thing...haha...i'll worry about that later.
Other side notes...laptop fan fixed =)...brings the saved by best buy warranty count up to 3 =P...also the other day i managed to hit myself in the mouth with my own badminton racket with the head of the racket...i blame physics for that...curse you angular momentum and friction...ended up with a fat lip cuz my racket slipped out of my hand... | | |
